The Writers’ Room is a collaborative seven week writing workshop developed by The New Coordinates co-founder Evan Linder (Byhalia Mississippi, The Bear Suit of Happiness, 5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche) and is now taught and curated by current Co-Artistic Director Fin Coe (Funharmless Warmachine).
The writers in this class will be given the tools to unearth their artistry using The New Coordinates’ collaborative writing process. Students will be given insights on how to work with and how to utilize others in their creative process, and learn from classmates in various mediums and experience levels. The Writers’ Room is a place for students to take risks with form, genre, team-work, and creativity. Students should come expecting to stretch their potential and flex their wheelhouse.

Applications are now open for the Spring 2023 Session of The Writers' Room
Dates: The Writers’ Room will meet on Sundays online from 11:00am-2:00pm from Sunday, March 5 through Sunday, April 30 (no class April 16), with an Orientation on Thursday, March 2 and a follow-up session will be scheduled to review first drafts.
Location: Virtual
Applications: Open Sunday, February 5 and close at 11:59pm CT on Sunday, February 26.
Tuition: $200 paid at the beginning of the first workshop on March 5. You may pay in full or by payment plan. If payment is late a $5 fee will incur for every day the payment is late.
